Christian McCaffrey can't hide from embarrassing video clip of infamous flop vs. Eagles

On Monday night, Christian McCaffrey came face-to-face with his most embarrassing moment of the season.
For that he can thank Eli Manning and Peyton Manning and their alternate telecast of "Monday Night Football."
With McCaffrey making a guest appearance, the ManningCast aired a clip of McCaffrey’s infamous flop against Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox from Week 13.
McCaffrey, the San Francisco 49ers star running back and an MVP candidate, had no choice but ‘fess up as the video replay captured the absurdity of it all. Fletcher lightly tossed McCaffrey aside after the play, and McCaffrey comically spun and fell to the turf.
"That was some of my worst work," McCaffrey said as the Seattle Seahawks battled the Philadelphia Eagles. “I’ve had some good flops in my career. That was not one of them.’’

There was no hiding from the embarrassment either – on Monday night or the day of that game that the Niners won.
Said McCaffrey, "I’m glad the ref helped me up and laughed in my face as I got up. He said, 'That was one of the worst acting jobs I’ve ever seen.' And I was just like, yep, you’re right, and I just laughed with him."
Mina Kimes deserved to call
What a shame that the guest appearance of ESPN analyst Mina Kimes ended with 8:08 left in the game and her beloved Seahawks trailing 17-13. Have the Mannings, in retirement, forgotten how to call an audible?
It would've been fun to see Kimes on the telecast while Seattle drove 92 yards in 10 plays and scored the game-winning touchdown with 28 seconds left in a 20-17 victory over the Eagles. But Kimes was stellar before her exit.
"A masterclass," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm after Seahawks coach Pete Carroll foolishly used a timeout in the fourth quarter.
And in what felt almost like an existential moment, she asked, "Do you think other teams are embarrassed when they tush push against Philly? I would be."
Reminded of Marshawn Lynch’s supposed ritual of a pregame shot of Hennessey, Kimes said she took a shot when she learned Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock would be starting in place of the injured Geno Smith. We're pretty sure she was joking.
Peyton Manning faces 'Tush Push' ban
Of course the "Tush Push" got special attention with the Eagles playing Monday night.
"The Eagles do it well, but so do the Cherry Creek Bruins," Peyton Manning said.
This led to a video clip showing Peyton Manning’s son, seventh-grader Marshall, scoring a touchdown from the 2-yard line after getting a tush push from his teammates.
"After that play, the ref’s like, 'Hey, you can’t do that,' Peyton Manning recalled. "I’m like, 'The Eagles do it in the NFL.' He’s like, 'This is not the NFL.'"
